Lazduleja parishis the smallest parish in the municipality, its area is 8717 ha or 87 km². 373 people are living in the parish. The most part of area is covered by forests and swamps. The largest inhabited places are Egļuciems (center of parish), Kīļi, Egļeva and Orlova.

The most important objects of social infrastructure in Egļuciems are parish administrative house, library and post office.

People mainly specialize in agriculture in their farms. Largest farms are „Ozolsaliņas”, „Cīruļi”, „Ošsalas” and „Burtnieki”, which specializes in dairy cattle breeding, hog breeding and cultivation of grain.

Cultural, educational and information center of parish is library. Cultural activities are held in the Meeting hall.

Two lakes are located in the parish. Orlova Lake is the largest lake which is located in the Natura 2000 protected area of „Bog of Orlava (orlovas purvs)”. Second lake Ploskena all around is surrounded by swamps. Also there is Natura 2000 protected areas- „Bog of Stompaki (stompaku purvs)” and geomorphologic monument „Glen of Stiglava (Stiglovas grava)” in the parish it is approximately 3. 5 km long Stiglova river joint in the areas of Lazduleja and Šķilbēni parishes.
